Yesterday's post had me reminiscing all night about some of my other favorite outfits from the past and I thought I would start randomly sharing some old photos with you to go along with the stories. Today, I want to share with you my very first pair of cowboy boots.
Oh how I loved those boots! And that sweater dress...gotta love the 70's. Even after all these years, I still remember feeling pretty sassy when I wore this outfit.
I found this great Polyvore set from dixi3chik that is kind of a grown up version of my old childhood outfit.
I am seriously loving those red boots! Actually I would love the whole outfit though I'm kind of iffy on the deer head ring. Makes me think of deer hunting which leads me to thinking about the death of Bambi's mom...ugh.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the little trip down memory lane as much as I did. As usual, my big plans for the weekend involve some serious time working in the studio. I hope you enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday. Bye!
I wear a lot of black, so I rely heavily on accessories to add a pop of color. One of my favorite color combos is blue and black. This goes way back to middle school when my favorite outfit was a pair of bright blue corduroy jeans with a matching bright blue and black striped sweater. Everytime I wore that outfit, I felt bad a#$. Have you ever had an outfit make you feel that way? I think I actually have a picture of it somewhere..I'll try to find it tonight and post it tomorrow. So using that as my inspiration, I put together this set on Polyvore and mixed in my labradorite Peyton earrings. What do you think?
I love reading blog posts where people share what's in their makeup bags and purses. I've actually stumbled across some great products that way so I thought I would try a similar post here. This is a snapshot of what I have in my everyday makeup bag.
This has some of my very favorite products in it. I bought a similar Dior eyeshadow set and lip gloss last year on a whim and I absolutely love both of them. The lip gloss is #234 a sheer golden pink that I wear almost every day. I'm in love with the Narciso Rodriguez perfume too - it smells divine. I got a sample of it last time I ordered something from Sephora and it has quickly become my favorite. It's a little heavy for daytime, I think, but every time I wear it people always stop me to compliment me on it and find out what it is that smells so good. The only thing I am kind of iffy on is the HD powder from Make Up For Ever...still trying to decide if I like it or not.
Well, that's it for today! Don't forget to drop by the shop and see what's new.
Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season. Now that I am all rested up, its time to head back into the studio. I've had a lot of requests recently for my Pasha Earrings, so I am bringing them back along with a few variations. Here's the first one with opal quartz, hot pink topaz and gold. I am so loving the opal quartz - they absolutely glow.
Opal quartz, pink topaz, moonstone, rock crystal quartz, gold
Sweet Susan of Hometown Girl has gotten me hooked on Polyvore. It is too much fun putting these sets together. I did my first one today - I was going for sweet and chic. What do you think?
